Levi Strauss and Company has entered a new licensing deal with Hampshire Group for the Dockers brand’s women’s apparel category, which it had previously handled in-house.

Hampshire will now design, source and market women’s tops and bottoms under brand, with the first line set to hit shelves in spring 2015. The agreement covers the U.S. market initially and will then extend to Mexico and Canada in fall 2015.

Hampshire already holds the license for men's tops and sweaters for the Dockers brand in the U.S., Mexico and several countries in Central and South America.

"We are pleased and excited to extend our partnership with the Dockers brand into the women's category,” says Paul Buxbaum, chief executive officer, Hampshire. “We look forward to working together to grow the volume and the brand equity of Dockers. We both know the potential of the brand in the women’s segment and together have already begun the efforts to realize that potential."
