The March 15 launch coincided with the arrival of the new 3D Netflix Original series “YooHoo to the Rescue.”

The new YooHoo plush was launched at two Hamleys stores in Japan: Hamleys Hakata in Fukuoka and Hamleys Yokohama. The Hakata store has a YooHoo window display that will run through May 14.

“YooHoo to the Rescue” is one of the first Asian preschool properties selected to be a Netflix Original Series and will also be shown on free-to-air channels in Italy, Poland, Russia, Spain and Portugal.

A licensing and merchandising program for YooHoo is planned across several other categories. Products are ready for launch worldwide from licensees including Panini (stickers, mini figurines and trading cards), Nuvita (baby products), Apple Beauty (toiletries), Dolfin (confectionery), Kennedy Publishing (magazines), and Dev Games & Yea Studio (digital app).
