Chapman Entertainment’s “Fifi and the Flowertots” and “Roary the Racing Car” delivered spectacular growth in licensed products in second quarter 2008, the company claims.
In apparel, Roary raced ahead at 155% above forecast, while Fifi continued to blossom with a 53% growth compared to the same quarter last year. In toys, Fifi delivered a rise in toy sales for second quarter, bucking industry trends, Chapman says. The property’s publishing showed a 62% growth year on year, with over 1.3 million books sold to date.
“Roary has demonstrated impressive results in the 14 months since the licensing program launched and with three years of exceptional growth Fifi continues to deliver, and there’s more still to come,” says Val Fry, Chapman Entertainment’s director of licensing.
